Let’s be honest. This whole quarantine thing really sucks. But never fear! #TeamTEN6 have put together our top 6 stories from the week to put a smile on your face.
1. Bouncey Sheep
We’re kicking off the list with some simple, pure joy. It’s a sheep...on a trampoline. That’s it. That’s the story.
2. Adios, Air Pollution
COVID-19 definitely hasn’t solved the pollution problem, but it is heartening to see photos of reduced smog from major cities across the globe as a result of the lockdown.
3. Wild Animals Take to the Streets
While humans are away, wild animals will play. Take a look at these photos of animals enjoying the city life. Our personal favourite is the deer in Nara, Japan, who looks like he’s trying to recreate the Abby Road cover.
4. “Your Only Goal is to Arrive”
It’s easy to feel like you’re not doing enough with your time now that we have way more of it than we’re used to. If you can relate to this feeling, check out this article by Paul Ollinger for a little moral support.
5. Don’t Stop Believin’
The 1981 Journey classic isn’t just for karaoke anymore. Staff at hospitals in Detroit and New York are using the song as a sign of hope, playing the tune each time a coronavirus patient leaves their care.
6. Social Distancing Cheers
Okay, listen. This isn’t the most responsible social distancing measure, but you have to hand it to these neighbours in Bella, Italy - this is pretty creative.
