6 key moments from Q2

Where has the first half of the year gone! It only feels like yesterday that we were celebrating our anniversary, and that's now just a distant memory!

This last three months have seen our team travelling to Estoril, Benidorm, Dubai, Amsterdam, Denver, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Orlando – that's where the time has gone, mainly in the air!

The fantastic DBF events team hosted me at their bi-annual “All About The People” event in Estoril, which is up there with the best weekends of the year for me. A fantastic mix of supplier meetings and networking opportunities, and anyone that knows me well knows I love an excuse to get a tuxedo on!

May saw us return to The Palace Hotel in San Francisco for the second year to produce the Marketers That Matter Gala for The Sage Group. A fantastic award ceremony highlighting the often unsung heroes within the global giants’ marketing teams. A local acapella group even rewrote the words to Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” using marketing buzz words – entertainment I won’t forget in a hurry!

June saw us return for our fourth global event with Genesys, and the first year of Xperience. This may have been one of the most challenging and ambitious projects we have put on to date – but it’s definitely my proudest, which takes some beating! The largest event Genesys has seen, and I for one can’t wait to continue to build on this momentum for next year!

We needed a wind-down after this, so Soho House Festival played host to our team summer outing. What better way to kick back than 26 degrees, unlimited Laurent Perrier, lobster, Pizza East and the Black-Eyed Peas.

A few sore heads, sun-burnt necks and lost house keys were not going to stop us the next day at the 10th Annual Conference Awards, where we were thrilled to collect the award for Best Agency (under 20 employees)!

Here’s hoping the rain holds off and we can all continue to enjoy this fantastic summer!
